✅ I always turn off the tap. 🔵 I usually use a cup. 🟡 I sometimes take a short shower. ❌ I never waste water.
🎮 How to Apply the Game — Teacher Guide
1
Set up: Display on your projector. Have a toothbrush, cup, and water bottle ready as realia. The A2 level means students work more independently and produce written sentences.
2
Eco-Sort Warm-up: Go to the Eco-Sort tab. Click a routine card, then place it: Good for Water 💧 or Bad for Water ❌. Teams discuss and earn points for correct placements with full sentences.
3
Sentence Builder: Move to the Builder tab. Students choose a frequency adverb + eco-action to build their own sentences. Click Add to List to collect the class's sentences on screen.
4
Water-Saving Pledge: In the Pledge tab, groups build a 3–5 rule pledge. Click a frequency adverb + eco-action, then Add to Pledge. The pledge appears on screen — read it aloud together!
5
Self-Assessment: In the Reflect tab, students individually tick the eco-actions they actually do. The score shows how eco-friendly their water habits are. Discuss as a class!
6
Scoring: Award team points in the Eco-Sort game — +1 for correct placement, +1 bonus if the team can say the full sentence with a frequency adverb.
7
Keyword sidebars: Click any Eco Word (left) or SDG (right) for a pop-up explanation. At A2 level, encourage students to use the keyword in a sentence after reading!
8
Wrap-up: Show the Homework tab. Students write a short diary entry using frequency adverbs. Use the on-screen template as a scaffold. They share next lesson!
Estimated game time: ~35 minutes. This A2-level activity extends the A1 water conservation theme with more complex language output: frequency adverbs, full written sentences, and a class pledge. The Sentence Builder and Pledge are the core production stages. The self-assessment checklist builds metacognitive awareness. Key sentence structure: "I [always / usually / sometimes / never] + [eco-action]."
