Estimated time: ~60 minutes (full lesson). This is a CLIL + TBL lesson around deforestation and climate change. Key language focus: imperatives (Stop! Save! Plant!), modal verbs (we must / can / should), linking words (because, so, but). The slogan builder and speech planner digitise the cooperative production tasks. The peer vote replaces paper voting. Key structures: "Deforestation is a problem because..." / "We must plant more trees." / "We can protect forests by..."

Deforestation and Climate Change: What Can We Do?

Deforestation is when people cut down many trees in a forest. Every year, millions of trees are cut for farming, logging, and building. This is a big problem because animals lose their homes and the climate is changing.

The main causes of deforestation are cutting trees for farming, forest fires, and building new cities. As a result, animals lose their habitats and there is less oxygen in the air. The climate is also changing because trees absorb CO₂.

We must plant more trees and protect forests by law. We can also recycle more paper and use both sides when we write. At school, we should use less paper and create posters to raise awareness.

Let's protect our forests! We must act now. Together, we can save our planet and fight climate change.
