The University of Burgos EcoLingua team shared its research at the third International Congress on Innovation, Didactics and Education for Sustainability (CIIDES), held online on 25–27 March 2026.
Lucía Muñoz Martín and Concetta Maria Sigona presented “Green words or green values? An Analysis of Environmental Themes in Spanish EFL Textbooks”. Their contribution focused on the place of environmental themes in English as a Foreign Language textbooks in Spain.
Aránzazu Cosido García and Alba Fernández Alonso also contributed a paper examining sustainable development and English language teaching through a critical review of curricular frameworks in Spain.
Together, these contributions connected EcoLingua’s work on teaching materials and curriculum with a wider academic discussion about education for sustainability. The conference provided an opportunity to share the Spanish team’s research with colleagues working on educational innovation and environmental education.
