Lucía Muñoz Martín and María del Rosario Casas Coelho from the University of Burgos participated in an international EcoLingua online workshop for English teachers organised by Roma Valiukienė and Lina Marčiulionytė from Vilnius University. The workshop also included a contribution from Mindaugas Danys.
The event focused on EcoLingua’s approach to digitally enhanced pedagogy for integrating environmental issues into language teaching. It brought colleagues from the Spanish and Lithuanian partner institutions together to explore teaching materials and share classroom ideas.

Among the materials documented in the Spanish team’s report was “Is it rubbish?”, an activity plan designed for A1-level learners aged 8–10. The example connects English language learning with an everyday environmental topic, offering a practical starting point for bringing sustainability into classroom work.
The workshop formed part of EcoLingua’s exchange of educational practices across partner institutions. By connecting the project’s environmental focus with examples of language-learning activities, it supported discussion of how teachers can use ecological themes in their lessons.
