On 3 June 2025, Elisabetta Marino led a six-hour seminar as part of a ministerial teacher-training programme. The session brought together 15 trainee teachers to explore innovative teaching techniques, with a particular focus on ecology and sustainability.
EcoLingua formed a substantial part of the seminar. The project served as an example of how environmental awareness can be integrated into language education, connecting its aims with the professional preparation of future teachers.
The participating trainee teachers engaged in the discussions and activities proposed throughout the day. The session created an opportunity to consider the relationship between teaching practice and environmental questions within a teacher-training setting.
This contribution extended EcoLingua’s dissemination work to future educators, introducing the project’s approach at a stage when participants were developing their own teaching practices.
